Vintage Sterling Silver Navajo Storyteller cuff with 12k gold fill overlay.
Sterling stamped inside, with maker hallmark, Thomas Begay. 
 
Thomas Begay was born in 1955 in Many Farms, AZ and he learned the traditional silver smith style from his father.
 
The storyteller design gives homage to how Navajo (Diné) culture traditionally did not have a written language, so all history and traditions are passed on orally. The bracelet has scenes of traditional Navajo way of life where we can see a Navajo silversmith at work, a weaver, a hogan (traditional Navajo home), a wagon and various animals, On the background of this scene there is a minimalistic landscape carved out, and traditional stampwork on the terminals.
