Unique Shima & Aizome Japanese work or house coat.
The outside is a shima cotton (Japanese striped fabric), and the inside is a patchwork of different shades of indigo. 
This coat consists of several layers of cotton, making it very warm & comfortable.
Perfect for wear as a long coat or bathrobe, but would also make a beautiful wall piece, revealing the beautiful indigo's on the inside.
 
This kimono / noragi coat dates back to the first half of the 20th century (1900-1950)
In beautiful condition for it's age, apart from a few small stains in the lining. 
(We can boro patch these spots on request in a traditional Japanese manner, with vintage fabrics and sashiko thread.)
